MENSWEAR FROM EUROPE '011
As the fashion sets crisscross Milan + Paris Spring '011 menswear shows, I sit in awe over the statement men's collections firing across my laptop screen! Clicking through the runway shots crystallized a few directional trends approaching next season.
The folks over at Prada played up mixed proportions—blending lengthier and crop shapes. Not to mention the denim-heavy creations and surplus of snug colorful knits. Prada pumped a perfect design punch if you ask me.
Louis Vuitton spoke a clear design note: Pieces for the on-the-go traveler. Muted colors, loads of texture; soft and plush fabrics trickled through the designs. I’d say: just the right combination for any spring wardrobe.
Emporio Armani took most-improved-yet-daring collection award home! Emporio unleashed batches of black-on-black leather in a seducing manner—making you cherry pick your leather fave! I’m still figuring how to nab Look #3 without breaking the Jonathan Adler plump piggy bank.
